Whilst doing some keyword research yesterday, I stumbled upon a new feature that is currently being tested amongst a select few AdWords clients called Contact Sitelinks.
What is Contact Sitelinks?
Contact Sitelinks is yet another feature that, if successful in this testing stage, will be rolled out across the UK under the already growing ad extensions. As you will see from the image below, if signed into Google at the time of search, Google will automatically prefill in your email address. Good for business? Or maybe a step too far? You decide!

Although we are not one of the very lucky few to test this new feature, my initial thoughts are:
1) This is going to be great for our clients that rely on data capture or cost per lead generation, such as the legal sector because it has the potential to massively improve conversion rates. It does, however, pose the risk of vastly increasing the overall CPC (cost-per-click), particularly in the claims sector as companies will need to be in the top 3 positions to activate this feature.
2) Secondly, and not so much a paid search concern, but it will be interesting to see how organic search is impacted by this new change because Google paid search now taking up more of the page 1 landscape.
So what do you think of this first look at Contact Sitelinks? I would be very interested to hear your views.
