Google maintains its lead in search
Google continues to be the top search engine in the UK, attracting 74.4% of the search market traffic during April, according to the recent comScore report.
eBay is still taking up the second place with a 6% share, which is a 0.3% increase compared with March. The Yahoo! Search Network remains in 3rd with a 4.3% share although this has slightly decreased since March. Located 4th position in the list is Microsoft (MSN) with a 3.4% share, and the Ask network remains in 5th at 2.7%.
The article also states that the social networking site Facebook maintained their 6th position in the list with a 1.8% share, an increase on March of 0.1%, which indicates how social media is continuing to play an increasing part in online marketing strategies.
