The girl who tragically collapsed and died just before finishing the London Marathon has been named as Claire Squires, a 30-year-old hairdresser from North Kilworth in Leicestershire.
The release of her name has sparked a very different kind of Twitter storm. Where normally Twitter outrage focuses on getting cynical old Daily Mail journos sacked, in this case it's proving a huge force for good as thousands flock to Claire's JustGiving page to donate to her chosen marathon charity, the Samaritans.
In the 5 minutes or so since the below screenshot was taken, the donation fund has risen to £28,241.50, an increase of almost £3,000.
